About us

Department of Dental Propaedeutics and Prophylaxis carries out 9 subjects in the field of English Dentistry Division study. Didactic classes are conducted in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of studies.
Due to the nature of the studies, practical and theoretical classes are conducted, considering the manual nature of the dentist's profession. In the theoretical part, information is provided in the form of lectures and multimedia presentations and e-learning, as well as individual presentations of specific issues as part of students' own work. The multimedia equipment of the training and demonstration rooms enables the transmission of teaching content in the form of visuals and sounds. Since 2021, the Department has four Simodont VR simulators based on virtual reality and conducts some preclinical classes on high-fidelity simulators.
All subjects are conducted in accordance with the study programs and enable students to achieve the expected learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and social competencies.
The goals of education are achieved by assimilating, reproducing, understanding, and consolidating knowledge, acquiring practical skills, and using them on a phantom model.
