Research conducted

As part of the statutory activity, research on:

  • the influence of ozone application on the adhesive properties of the enamel of deciduous teeth,
  • assessment of the impact of F, Se and Sr ions released from cements and filling materials on the reduction of experimentally induced caries in rats,
  • development of own method of collecting and transplanting bone blocks with a tooth placed (animal model),
  • measurements of physiological values of compensation curves using the 3D-MicroScribe digitization system,
  • evaluation of the electropolishing effect of CrCoMo alloys using their own electrolyte,
  • the relationship between the idealized Monson sphere pattern and the individual shape of the Spee short-circuit curve,
  • assessment of tribological resistance of polymeric materials,
  • assessment of selected stages of endodontic treatment using computer microtomography,
  • assessment of optical density and crushing and shear strength of selected polymer inserts containing glass fibre,
  • determination of individual parameters of the shape of the natural occlusion in relation to the measurements of the sectoral balance of occlusal forces in the T-Scan II occlusion analysis system and in correlation with the morphometric values of the facial part of the skull determined of the Segner-Hasund harmony box,
  • examining the possibility of using digital measuring devices to objectify the assessment of the optimal occlusion geometry,
  • laboratory assessment of physicochemical and strength parameters of technical composites,
  • optimization of the use of polymers in clinical conditions,
  • applications of 3D printing in dentistry,
  • assessment of the effectiveness of treatment of hypodontia of the upper lateral incisors,
  • clinical and laboratory evaluation of glass fibre-reinforced composite bridges,
  • assessment of exposure of dental hygienists to musculoskeletal loads,
  • virtual reality in teaching dentistry students,
  • assessment of oral health in patients after SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Own projects:

  • introduction of oxygen inhibition blockers into clinical use,
  • development of measurement methods and tools for the objective assessment of the metal removable winger's partial dentures (RPDs) during chewing activities,
  • comparative assessment of bone tissue reconstruction around the transplanted tooth and the implant.
